MISSION
The Society for Authentic Golf Architecture was founded to help golfers improve their game and lower their score through architectural analysis. It goes beyond course management by focusing on how to properly read a course and, more importantly, an understanding of "authentic" golf course architecture and design. SAGA attempts to provide every member a variety of opportunities to better understand and play the game of golf through appreciation and awareness of authentic golf course architecture and design! These include golf architecture books, articles and reviews; golf clinics and instruction; frequent golf events at significant golf architectural designs; monthly meetings at Pasatiempo Country Club; travel to play noteworthy golf courses; access to NCGA membership in the SAGA/NCGA Associate Club!

The Society for Authentic Golf Architecture (SAGA) is an established, dignified, integrity-based golf society
operating according to proper golf etiquette and ethical practices. SAGA conducts current activities in Pebble Beach, Carmel, Monterey, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, LaQuinta, Rancho Miraqe, Cathedral City, and Los Angeles, California, scheduling significant architectural masterpieces. Future plans include expansion into Las Vegas, the Northwest, the Southwest and Hawaii as well as the rest of the continental United States! Our primary goal remains that of customer satisfaction!
